Top 10 Best Printers 2020

Taking the time to create a document is an ideal way to present as little or as much information as possible, whether for a home or a work project. Completing the task in an effective manner can involve a number of steps, from making use of your creativity to editing and formatting.

Seeing a document once it is all complete can create a real feeling of satisfaction, however, this positivity can quickly fade if you are unable to print the documents properly. Not being able to print the documents as you have drafted it can prove to be highly frustrating. Similarly, regularly having to clear paper jams before being able to successfully print any pages can be enough to make you want to give up entirely.

To avoid this, being able to use one of the best printers is necessary to ensure that you will be able to rely on it whenever it is needed.

Features to Expect from the Best Printers

  • Wireless. Fiddling with cables can be a real hassle and can be the cause of a printer not working properly. With the use of a wireless printer, this issue can be avoided as it is not necessary to connect in by installing cables as the use of Wi-Fi can be substituted.
  • Color Printing. Printers are required to print a number of different documents and photos so color is essential in many cases. Consider whether you will require colored ink for your printing needs.
  • Ink Technology. The method of ink technology used by a printer can dictate the quality of the printed text and images and the speed in which they can be produced. Consider different types of ink technology, such as inkjet, laser or LED in order to get a printer that best suits your needs.
  • Other Capabilities. As technology advances, printers are more capable of completing a number of different tasks, such as scanning, faxing and copying. Consider whether you will require a multipurpose printer as opposed to several different pieces of equipment.
  • Connectivity. In some cases, you may want to be able to print from your PC, while in other cases, you may want to use your mobile or tablet. In this case, it is prudent to obtain a printer that is capable of connecting to a number of different devices.

Top 3 Best Printers Reviews

1. HP OfficeJet Pro 8610

The size of this HP Officejet printer is comparable to an old printer that I have had for many years, which is on its last legs.

The box is big, but even when you get the printer out and get rid of all the packaging it is still big, so not ideal for those looking for a truly compact printer.

However, that is a small price to pay for a printer that works so well, especially as it is an all-in-one.

It was easy to set up with my existing laptop using the instructions included, and it is convenient in that it can be used as either a wired or a wireless printer. It was quick to get started and, by following the instructions, it was ready to start using in about 15 minutes.

Linking the printer to other devices is easily achieved and it worked with my smart phone and my laptop.

The speed in which it prints was initially a surprise as my old printer was so much slower; it was a pleasure not to have to wait for an extended period.

In holding up the printed page to the screen, I was impressed by how little difference there was in the colors, and the quality of the images was excellent.

One of the best printers for decent, sharp images.

2. Canon PIXMA Pro-100

At first glance, this Canon PIXMA pro-100 didn’t appear compact enough to be able to fit into the small space I was able to allocate on my desk, but looks can be deceiving.

It fit in nicely on the desk with my laptop, making it conveniently placed for set up which I initially did via USB. However, it can also be used wirelessly, which is handy as the cables trailing across the desk can be aggravating. I also like the look of it as it has nice clean lines.

The software is easy to download and easy to use, allowing photos to be viewed and edited before printing.

The ink cartridges are easy to fit, but it is not compatible with refillable cartridges so new ones will need to be purchased when needed. However, it is not necessary to change all the ink cartridges at the same time, only the ones that have run out.

It uses inkjet technology, which makes it produce prints at a very speedy rate.

It can accept photo paper and the photos print beautifully, with the colors appearing amazingly well.

Great printer for a wide range of documents, especially for photos.

3. HP Deskjet 1513

This HP Deskjet has a familiar look about it, like the type of printer you would traditionally expect to see in a home or office.

It was simple to set up straight from the package with my Windows 7 laptop. The ink cartridges are simple to install and I had no problems with getting started soon after getting it all unpacked.

I tested it out with some simple black text documents as well as some PowerPoint pages that comprised a number of different colors. They all came out well and looked exactly as they did on screen.

It also scans, which is very handy to enable me to email documents that are not already on my hard drive.

A worthwhile printer for a great price.
